Ken Hurwitz is a Senior Account Executive with Blue Chip Leasing Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the TSX listed Chesswood Group, one of North America’s largest independent commercial equipment leasing companies. Ken has over two decades of experience in the machine tool industry and now works to help all types of manufacturers secure additional funding and/or utilize their own capital to optimize operations.
Ken writes a monthly column for Canadian Metalworking covering topics and concepts relating to lease financing of machine tools, accessories, as well as any other asset required by Canadian Manufactures to keep their business running at optimum capacity and efficiency.
Ken’s professional qualifications include the Certified Equipment Appraiser (CEA) designation as set forth by the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) as well as having current USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) coursework and testing. This designation is recognized in the used machinery and equipment industry, as well as banks and lending institutions, as the authority in providing professional, reliable and accurate appraisal reports for machinery and equipment
In addition to CEA and USPAP certifications, Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Economics from York University.
