This presentation will specifically cover selective laser melting, powder bed equipment and applications. We will examine the economics of, and make the case for, additive manufacturing for production. We will examine how additive machine print speed improvements, such as high-power lasers for example, can affect the economics of printing production components. We will also discuss what current print speed improvements are available and which of those are actually going to help users reach their production printing goals.
The presenter will also analyze and discuss further print speed improvements in selective laser melting that can be expected from the additive industry as a whole. Also included will be a behind-the-scenes look into the future improvements manufacturers are working to develop based on 3D printing user feedback. This valuable analysis will allow additive users some insight and anticipation in the industry’s growth and development into true production printing.
