Michael Gardiner leads Microsoft’s digital transformation, Industry 4.0, and artificial intelligence initiatives in the Canadian manufacturing industry. In his current role, he guides digital innovation and manufacturing strategies and helps enhance engineering, operations, supply chain, services, and sustainability using digital twins, industrial IoT, cloud & edge computing, and machine learning. For over 25 years, Mr. Gardiner has served manufacturers of all sizes who compete in the global automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery, high tech, resource, consumer goods, chemical, pharmaceutical, and engineering services industries. Mr. Gardiner earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and a Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA. He completed the University of Cambridge’s Institute of Sustainability Leadership program in 2021 and has been registered as a Professional Engineer since 2000.
