Jeannine Kunz is the vice president of Tooling U-SME, where she leads a team dedicated to the ongoing enhancement of manufacturing personnel.
A recognized expert in the field of professional development and training, her vision and dedication have put Kunz at the forefront of workforce management issues as she provides forward-thinking educational innovations and solutions for companies, academia and individuals.
Kunz focuses on workforce training and development to directly address new industry dynamics related to people’s knowledge and skills in manufacturing.
She led SME’s acquisition of Tooling U, the leading provider of online training classes for manufacturing. Tooling U-SME leads the industry as a vital training resource nationwide.
Kunz established an advisory committee, comprised of individuals from large and small companies as well as academia, in an important effort to identify the jobs and corresponding knowledge, skills and abilities needed to advance the manufacturing field.
A keen industry observer and insider, she is frequently asked to provide insights and perspectives on manufacturing and professional development at conferences, events and caucuses across the country, including in the academic and governmental realms.
She is on the executive committee of America Makes – the nation’s leading and collaborative partner in additive manufacturing and 3D printing technology research, discovery, creation, and innovation; and she is a workforce development committee member for several institutes within Manufacturing USA (formally known as the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation).
Kunz earned a B.A. in Business and Marketing with a concentration in Economics from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan and currently sits on Pittsburgh State University College of Technology Board of Directors.
