Today there is a high demand for more individualization, more variants of products within a world where customers wish to configure their personal product virtually on their PC, order it online and get it delivered promptly. To fulfill these demands it is necessary to find new ways for automated manufacturing to become more flexible and better connected.
New concepts where robots work closer or even together with humans, where mobile systems enhance existing logistic processes, and where intelligent digitalization connects all needed sub-systems could be the answer. This presentation will show how new production concepts using collaborative robots, mobile robots, and digitalization are already being used to increase the flexibility of automation projects.
Several real life case studies will be presented to illustrate the implementation of these technologies.
